My own trigger, every time
Another trader taking a position is information, not a reason. Every entry needs a trigger of my own beyond a stop.
Why
Mirroring someone else's trade means borrowing their entry without their context, their sizing, or their exit plan. When it goes wrong, there's nothing to learn from because the reasoning was never yours.
Following good traders is a great way to find ideas. The entry still has to pass my own checklist.
What breaking it looks like
Mirror, no trigger: the entry reason is that someone else took it, with no trigger of my own beyond a stop.
